Blackbuck EV’s first model of the ELON 3X, a 13.5-meter seating bus, is currently undergoing internal road tests to ensure it meets top standards for performance and durability. Initial results are promising, and Blackbuck EV is dedicated to continuing these tests to achieve full validation. It’ll be on the market as of end 2025, according to plans.

In the meanwhile, Blackbuck EV, launched in 2019, is introducing a sleeper version of the ELON 3X. This new model is in response to strong demand from Indian customers for greater comfort on long journeys. The innovative sleeper coach design enhances passenger comfort with increased headroom and beds measuring 1.8 meters in length.

The bus will feature 36 beds and approximately 8 cubic meters of luggage space. Blackbuck EV cites that a range options of 300km and 400km per charge, operators can select the model that best fits their routes. Blackbuck EV launches electric sleeper bus

Blackbuck EV is pleased to announce the start of pre-order bookings, which have been met with strong interest from private transport operators. The company claims it has secured Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) for 350 buses — both seater and sleeper models — with customers in India and internationally. Blackbuck EV is also engaged in advanced talks with additional prospects and expects more bookings by year-end. The goal is to accept pre-orders for 1,000 buses, with production and delivery planned within four years of starting production. Pre-order customers will be prioritized on a first-come, first-served basis.

The first micro factory is expected to be operational by Q3 2025, with full-scale production starting by the end of 2025. This will enable Blackbuck EV to meet its delivery commitments and address the growing demand for electric buses.

Blackbuck EV: scale production to begin in late 2025

Blackbuck EV’s reveals service model, EBAAS (Electric Bus as a Service), is designed to enhance customer experience through comprehensive support, including Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMCs), warranties, and charging infrastructure. EBAAS provides a complete ecosystem for transitioning to electric buses, reducing risks and maximizing fleet uptime.

Additionally, the EBAAS digital fleet management tool offers features such as real-time tracking, charging station locations, driver management systems, and service scheduling. This tool equips Blackbuck EV’s customers with the necessary resources to effectively manage their electric bus operations.
