Compressor specialist Bock GmbH announces that, since January, Stephan Schumann has been on board as the new Managing Director Sales and Marketing. Together with Marcus Albrecht, he thus forms the new dual leadership of the company, based in Frickenhausen and active in the development and manufacture of compressors for air conditioning, refrigeration, heating, heat pumps and heat recovery. Last year the company was sold to the international financial investor NORD Holding.

The new dual leadership sees the focus on increasing sales by opening up new growth areas, further expanding the global sales organization, and identifying potential partnerships and cooperations. “In doing so, we will focus specifically on the future market for environmentally friendly and economical compressor technologies for the use of natural refrigerants such as CO2,” says Schumann, explaining the strategy of the long-established refrigeration manufacturer, which celebrates its 90th anniversary this year.

Bock, Stefan Schumann new managing director

Stephan Schumann has many years of sales experience in the capital goods industry as well as excellent knowledge of the automotive supplier industry. In the course of his professional career, the qualified business economist was most recently Managing Director of a medium-sized company, where he was responsible for leading the global sales team and successfully implementing the growth strategy.

“I am very much looking forward to working with Stephan Schumann and our dedicated employees to sustainably secure and further expand the leading role of the traditional Bock brand in the international compressor business,” says Dr. Marcus Albrecht, who in turn is responsible for Finance, Supply Chain, Human Resources and R&D. As a trained mechanical engineer, Dr. Albrecht brings with him many years of industrial management experience in an international environment from both corporate groups and medium-sized companies.
