The French Central Purchasing Office for Public Transport CATP has referenced the Irizar ie tram 100% electric BRT bus in two lengths, the 12 m version and the articulated 18 m version, Irizar states. CATP is a service provided by AGIR Transport to all public purchasers.

Irizar ie tram enters in CATP catalogue

Adding the bus to the catalogue of referenced products lets French public purchasers order vehicles directly from the CATP without having to launch their own tenders.

“Being included is a step further in the strategy to strengthen the presence of the Irizar e-mobility brand in the French market, where several ie trams have been on the road since 2019 in diverse French cities including Bayonne, Orleans and Aix-en-Provence, among other”, the Spanish group says.

Among Irizar ie tram’s primary characteristics, its aesthetic attributes are reminiscent of a tram, like the hubcaps, and the rearview mirrors that have been replaced by cameras that project images onto two screens inside the vehicles on both sides of the driver, and the chromed perimeter ring that wraps around the body of the vehicle. The perimeter ring frames the large glass surface of the sides.
