JBM showcased four electric buses at Indian industry exhibition Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 held from 17th to 22nd January in New Delhi. The new electric buses include all new electric luxury coach ‘Galaxy’; Intercity bus ‘Xpress’; low floor electric Medical Mobile Unit ‘e-MediLife’ and a 9-meter Electric Tarmac Coach ‘e-SkyLife’ that the OEM claims being a Indian first.

In Europe, JBM Group is set to launch its new electric city bus with European homologation in March-April 2025, starting with Germany. Plus, updated electric coach is coming at Busworld in 2025.

At the same expo, EKA showcased its lineup of electric buses and trucks. In late 2024, JBM presented the E12 Galaxy electric coach at Prawaas 4.0 held in Bangalore.

JBM business: 1,800 e-buses in operation

Currently, JBM states it has deployed over 1,800 electric buses across multiple geographies in India, Europe, Middle East & Africa, etc. The company boasts of a order book of 10,000+ electric buses deployed and under execution. JBM has set up the world’s largest (outside China) dedicated integrated electric bus manufacturing facility, located in Delhi-NCR region, with an annual production capacity of 20,000 electric buses.

The buses were unveiled by Shri Nitin Jairam Gadkari, Hon’ble Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways last evening. Present on the occasion were Mr. S.K. Arya, Chairman, JBM Group and Mr. Nishant Arya, Vice Chairman, JBM Group.

The company has also showcased JBM E-Verse, an indigenously designed EV ecosystem encompassing “in-house capabilities in fast charging infrastructure, efficient Lithium-ion batteries, power infrastructure and a network that ensures zero downtime”, in JBM’s words.

JBM Luxury Coach

The JBM Luxury Coach is presented as a premium electric bus featuring plush reclining seats with calf supports, spacious sleeper berths, and a sunken gangway with 2×2 seating. HVAC systems include individual AC vents and reading lights. Advanced safety features include EBS, ABS, and EVSC braking systems. The modular lithium-ion battery supports ultra-fast charging and regenerative braking for enhanced range

JBM Inter-City Bus

The JBM Inter-City Bus provides 2×2 and 3×2 seating configurations, with optional Wi-Fi and mobile USB charging. Features include footrests, magazine pouches, water bottle holders, armrests, and adjustable HVAC with reading lights. It uses regenerative braking, a silent driveline, and air suspension for a smooth ride. The driver’s seat is suspended to reduce fatigue.

JBM Medical Mobile Unit

The JBM Medical Mobile Unit is equipped with advanced medical tools and operates 24/7. Its flexible layout accommodates staff and equipment, while ultra-fast charging ensures continuous service. The unit is globally compliant and designed for emergency treatments and outreach programs.

JBM 9 Meter Tarmac Bus

The JBM 9 Meter Tarmac Bus features superior ground clearance and spacious luggage compartments. It includes a silent driveline, air suspension, and panoramic windows for a premium passenger experience. It is optimized for quiet, efficient airport operations.
