With the delivery of twelve e-Jest minibuses for Autolinee Toscane at the beginning of January, Karsan crossed the milestone of 250 electric buses delivered in Italy. And now the next target in its sights, to be crossed by the end of 2025, will be 300 vehicles.

In 2024 Karsan was the third best seller of e-buses on the Italian market, and the country achieved the first position in the European Union for zero emission bus registrations (over 1,000).

Karsan to have 300 e-buses operating by end 2025

In fact, the Turkish OEM has recently won a tender for regional agency Acamir in Campania: 42 electric midibuses model e-Atak that will be supplied during the course of the year.

The Karsan e-Atak features a passenger capacity of 52 people and is powered with a 230 kW electric motor, with a maximum torque of 2,500 nm.

Karsan CEO Okan Baş said: “With this delivery, our electric vehicle park in Italy will reach 300 units. In this region, which includes a big city like Naples, we have previously delivered 8 units of e-ATAK. With the new deliveries, our vehicle park in the Campania Region will reach 50 vehicles. The Campania region is just transitioning to electric vehicles in public transport. We are very proud that they prefer Karsan e-ATAK vehicles in this process as well. We are happy to transform public transportation in 23 cities in 11 regions of Italy with our Karsan e-JEST, e-ATAK and e-ATA models.”
