But electric powertrains are also making inroads in Class II, with several OEMs developing models for intercity applications (see the just-launched Mercedes eIntouro and Iveco Crossway Elec). Among them is Otokar, which is offering the e-Territo Normal Floor (i.e., high-floor) to the market, a model that can already be ordered and is ready to duke it out with the competition.

Interestingly, the vehicle was conceived, designed and built for future fuel cell applications.

The high-floor e-Territo is in production since late 2024, available for orders and is offered in two different length configurations: 12,200 millimeters and 13,000 millimeters; in the first version the passenger capacity is 57 people, in the second it goes up to 63.

LFP battery packs, which can be modulated, have a capacity of 450 kWh, for a claimed range of about 500 kilometers. The provider, according to the trade media Autocar & Bus Info, is the French-based specialist Forsee Power: Zen LFP modules will equip the range, with two models on offer: 36 kWh and 55 kWh for each pack. The battery supplier, indeed, has just stated that in 2024 began to deliver bus battery systems “to the Turkish market”.

The engine is by Voith VEDS, with 410 kW of power output and 3100 Nm of torque.
