Just a few more days and then nominations for the Talent in Mobility Awards will be closed. In fact, July 21 is the last day available to nominate a colleague, manager, executive or business partner with a particularly impressive career who stands out for his or her talent, innovation and contribution to the development of sustainable mobility, who could be one of Europe’s next mobility talents.

Talent in Mobility is the initiative of the EuMo-European Mobility Expo (October 1-3, exceptionally in Strasbourg) to reward public transport professionals.

How EuMo’s Talent in Mobility Awards work

Mobility stakeholders are invited to nominate their colleagues, partners or service providers in recognition of the excellence of their work and how they contribute to raising the profile of public transport in Europe.

Nominees can be nominated in four different categories:

  • Best Young Talent
    Best project manager
    Best manager
    Special Lifetime Service Award

The award will be given to the nominee in each category who receives the most votes in an online poll that opened on August 22. A jury composed of members of the European trade press – of which SUSTAINABLE BUS is part – will present the awards at 3:30 p.m. on October 2, 2024 during the European Mobility Expo in Strasbourg.

Best Manager, 2022: Hélène Valenzuela, head of Ouigo Spain

Hélène is CEO of Ouigo Spain and has extensive international experience in rail transport. She has served as CEO and COO in rail companies operating on high-speed networks and worked for the French rail infrastructure operator. In 2022, she won the European Talent in Mobility Award in the ‘Best Manager’ category. Here’s what she has to say about the award: “I was very honoured to have won the European mobility ‘Best Manager 2022’ award. The award helped show my teams the extent to which our work to expand long-distance mobility is recognised, and more especially the fact that it’s a collective achievement. We’re very proud of our ongoing work to make high-speed rail more accessible in Spain, enabling more customers to travel. Recognition by a body like EuMo encourages us all to continue to improve!”.
