Iveco Bus fuel cell model is now listed in UGAP‘s catalogue. Being included in the list of Union of Public Purchasing Groups means that public purchasers in France are thus exempted from tendering and competition procedures. Operators can buy directly through UGAP by placing a classic purchase order. The news is reported on French trade media Car & Bus News.

Safra, Van HoolBluebus and Ebusco also joined the list in the last few years.

Heuliez fuel cell bus in UGAP’s list

The Heuliex GX 337 H2 (the name for French market of the Iveco Bus E-Way H2 launched at Busworld last year) will be included in the UGAP catalogue from 18 April 2024 for 24 months, with the possibility of an extension of up to 24 months.

The fuel cell bus is a concrete result of the partnership that Iveco Bus and Hyundai announced in March 2022.

The E-Way H2 is a 12-meter-long low-floor city bus equipped with a 310-kW e-motor and a fuel cell system provided by HTWO, a fuel cell system-based hydrogen business brand of Hyundai Motor Group. With four tanks offering a combined storage of 7.8 kg of hydrogen and one 69 kWh battery pack by FPT Industrial, Iveco Group’s brand specialised in powertrain technologies, the vehicle offers a driving range of 450 km under normal operating conditions, Iveco Bus states.

The E-Way H2 will be produced in the plant in Annonay, France, and Foggia, Italy, the group states.
