Daimler Buses is strengthening its focus on digital services, offering a free Digital Services Package for newly delivered Mercedes-Benz and Setra buses. The initiative aims to optimize fleet operations by improving vehicle availability, reducing downtime, and lowering total cost of ownership (TCO).

New customers, the group announces, will receive three years of free access to digital services for diesel vehicles, while battery-electric eCitaro, eCitaro fuel cell, and upcoming eIntouro models will benefit from a six-year free subscription. After the initial period, operators will have the option to continue using these services at a reduced package price.

Daimler Buses offers free digital services package

The Digital Services Package offers real-time monitoring of vehicle conditions, fuel or energy consumption, and predictive maintenance insights. Diesel vehicle operators gain access to detailed diagnostic data, while electric bus operators benefit from Omniplus On Battery Monitoring, which tracks battery performance and provides recommendations to extend service life.

A key component of the package is Omniplus On Uptime pro, a solution that continuously monitors critical vehicle systems. It provides real-time fault detection, allowing fleet managers and workshops to anticipate maintenance needs, consolidate repairs, and reduce service times.

Another crucial feature, Omniplus On Monitor, helps track and optimize energy consumption. It provides detailed insights into fuel usage for diesel buses and accurately evaluates traction energy and auxiliary power consumption for electric buses, aiding fleet operators in identifying potential efficiency improvements.
