Masstrans Technologies, based in Pune, India, highlighted at Prawaas 4.0 Expo its dedication to advancing public transport and smart city solutions.

Masstrans Technologies at Prawaas 4.0

Since 1991, Masstrans has delivered top-tier public transport solutions. Their partnership with Hanover Displays UK in 2004 introduced passenger information systems to India, which are now widely used across the transport industry. Their ARAI certified products focus on improving fleet efficiency and passenger experience. 

At the expo, Masstrans unveiled a comprehensive suite of solutions designed to enhance public transportation. Their offerings include a broad array of technological advancements aimed at improving ground transit through the integration of information, communication, and control technologies, in alignment with the Internet of Things (IoT).

Masstrans’ holistic transport solutions encompass a variety of features such as bespoke LED roof lights, advanced passenger information systems, single control units, and bus driver consoles. Additionally, their innovations include surveillance and rear-view cameras, mobile digital video recorders (MDVR/MNVR), multi-media TFT screens, and automatic passenger counting systems. The company’s offerings also feature advanced driver assistance systems, driver fatigue monitoring, reverse parking assistance, tyre pressure monitoring, and mobile phone chargers. Infotainment systems, planning and scheduling systems, and automatic fare collection systems are also part of their extensive product line.

Leading bus manufacturers, including Volvo, Tata Motors, Edison Motors, Olectra, GreenCell Mobility, Ashok Leyland, VECV, JBM, SML Isuzu, Mercedes, Force Motors, PMI, and Mahindra, utilize Masstrans’ solutions. The company is also expanding into Public Address and Passenger Information Systems (PAPIS) and surveillance solutions for Railways and Metro.
