Claudio Passerini has been appointed as President of Iveco Group’s Bus Business Unit with immediate effect. The change has been announced today, 21st January 2025.
Passerini succeeds to Domenico Nucera, that will assume the newly created role of Chief Quality & Operations Officer and has led the Bus Business Unit of Iveco Group since its inception in late 2021. He had also been covering the position of 2024 Chairperson of ACEA bus and coach division. We have interviewed him in late 2024.
Both will report directly to Olof Persson, CEO of Iveco Group. Claudio Passerini, in Iveco Group since 2022, has been so far covering the positions of Head of Transformation and Head of Powertrain Sales & Marketing.

Claudio Passerini becomes Iveco Bus President
“Iveco Group’s new Quality & Operations function will regroup and centralise all Quality departments and incorporate Manufacturing and Supply Chain. Integrated Quality & Operations will connect every operational aspect of the business – from sourcing to production and delivery – enabling the Group to work even more cohesively and efficiently”, Iveco Group states in a press note.
Claudio Passerini, graduated at Bocconi University, has a long history in the automotive industry at multi-national companies in Italy, Brazil, Russia and Germany, developing expertise in B2B sales, private equity funds, commercial turnaround, and transformation projects, the company says. He had been working for Pirelli and Fyntire. His latest position has been Global VP Sales&Marketing at FPT Industrial.
Other changes at the helm of Iveco Group
Within this reorganization of managements roles, Angela Qu, previously Chief Supply Chain Officer, has elected to leave the organisation to pursue other interests, while Ángel Rodríguez Lagunilla, previously Chief Manufacturing Officer, will become Head of Manufacturing Operations, reporting to Domenico Nucera and maintaining a pivotal role in the development of the Group’s production value chain.
