Busplaner magazine awarded the Iveco Bus E-WAY H2 the “International Sustainability Award 2024”, in the category of 12-meter hydrogen-powered buses. The award ceremony took place on April 23 in Berlin, one day before the opening of the Bus2Bus trade fair.
The award, given by an independent jury of experts consisting of well-known personalities from business, associations and the media, recognizes the contribution of companies active in the bus industry to sustainable and responsible growth through their economic, social and environmental commitment .

The Iveco Bus E-Way H2, in detail
The Iveco Bus E-Way H2 a hybrid vehicle equipped with a hydrogen fuel cell from Hyundai, allocated in the rear compartment and fed by 4 hydrogen tanks located on the roof. The vehicle also mounts a 69 kWh Nmc battery developed in-house by FPT Industrial and a 310 kW Siemens Elfa 3 electric motor.
The maximum passenger capacity is 100 people and under normal operating conditions, it can achieve a range of 450 km.
The vehicle has the new electric Vehicle Control Platform (eVeCoP) software, developed in-house to optimize the hydrogen allocation strategy and achieve maximum performance. It also integrates a rear vision system and new Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) devices, under the General Safety Regulation (GSR) directive that will come into effect in July.
