Transport UK London Bus (formerly Abellio) announces the appointment of Paul Hennigan as Fleet and Facilities Director. Paul will join the business in September 2024 in a new role that will see him manage the fleet and facilities teams to grow synergy further.

+In April 2024 Transport UK London Bus started mobilisation of a fully electric fleet on Route 306 in London, supported by an all-new fully EV fleet of Wrightbus Electroliners.

Transport UK London Bus is expanding its zero-emission fleet across its six depots, all of which are now enabled for EV routes.

Paul Henningan joins Transport UK London Bus

Originally from Oxford, Paul Hennigan “brings over 25 years of industry experience to Transport UK London Bus, having started his career at Oxford Bus as an apprentice mechanic in 1998 – states the operator in a press note announcing the new appointment -. Following his qualification, Paul developed his skills within the business before being promoted into his first engineering management role in 2009 and a general manager role in 2013. In 2014, Paul took the opportunity to become Head of Operations at Oxford Bus, where he gained invaluable experience managing operational teams and drivers. This experience and his leadership skills led to his promotion to Operations Director in 2018, and he was further promoted to Service and Delivery Director in 2019, with responsibility for operations and engineering”.

Paul Hennigan has been playing a protagonist role in the deployment of over 100 new zero-emission EV vehicles by Oxford Bus company as part of the national ZEBRA 1 project

“Paul Henningan’s experience building and maintaining EV infrastructure and fleet will support Transport UK London Bus’s continued growth in London and across the business’s rail replacement services”, the operator states.
