Rolf-Jan Zweep has taken the position of CEO at VDL Bus & Coach as of 1 January 2023. The appointment was not officially released by the Dutch manufacturer in a corporate statement but is mentioned by the manufacturer between the lines of the press release about the order for 193 new-generation Citeas received by EBS for the Zaanstreek-Waterland concession.

Rolf-Jan Zweep is new CEO of VDL Bus & Coach

Rolf-Jan Zweep, that presents himself on Linkedin as Senior Vice President and Member of the Board of VDL Group, has taken over the role of CEO at VDL Bus & Coach from Paul van Vuuren on 1 January 2023. The latter was appointed CEO with with effect from 1 July 2021, following Henk Coppens’s resignement (he had been at the helm of the company from 2017).

According to the information available on Linkedin, Rolf-Jan Zweep had been working in the past for ING in East European countries, covering the position of the Czech and Ukraine subsidiaries. He joined VDL group in 2014 as managing director of VDL Translift and had been responsible for finalizing the integration of Translift in VDL Group.

He took over the position of Senior Vice President and Member of the Board of VDL Group in 2017, as responsible for International Commerce, Corporate Finance and Acquisitions.
