The third issue of Sustainable Bus Magazine 2024 is now out! In this edition, we explore Irizar’s insights on the future of zero-emission technology, the development strategies of Ekoenergetyka, Kempower and FPT Industrial, the features of battery-electric coach Temsa LD SB E and of 18-meter e-buses from Ebusco, MAN, Mercedes and Solaris.

The magazine is ready for being distributed at IAA Transportation, InnoTrans, Euro Mobility Expo (where you are also warmly invited to our talk!), FIAA (where winners of the Sustainable Bus Awards will be crowned).

Previous issue was out in May, next one is planned for November.

Sustainable Bus magazine new issue out

In this issue, readers can explore the latest developments in the zero-emission bus market. A key highlight is the impressive 45% growth in Europe’s e-bus sector in the first half of the year.

Also featured is an exclusive interview with Irizar’s CEO Imanol Rego, who shares insights on the company’s strategies for technology and energy in an increasingly competitive landscape.

Additionally, the magazine covers the outcomes of Europe’s largest fuel cell bus deployment under the JIVE 1 project and looks into the impact of megawatt charging on battery health, thanks to a guest essay by experts Claudius Jehle and Sven Klausner.

Charging infrastructure in the spotlight

Readers will also get a closer look at two rising players within the charging infrastructure’s ecosystem: Ekoenergetyka’s expansion from e-buses to the broader EV sector, and Kempower’s growing footprint in North America. The issue provides also an in-depth, exclusive tour of FPT Industrial’s production facility in Turin, where battery modules and e-powertrains are built, and an inside view of Yutong’s bus manufacturing strategies at their factory in Zhengzhou, China.

Among the product features are the new Temsa LD SB Electric (we also published a video test drive on that!) and the Iveco Crossway NF Mild Hybrid. There’s also a comparison of 18-meter e-buses from Ebusco, MAN, Mercedes, and Solaris, coming from the yearly Ebus Test organized in Bonn by German trade magazine Omnibusspiegel.

As always, the magazine concludes with a comprehensive portfolio of all zero-emission buses available on the European market today.
