Yutong has sold 47k buses in 2024, growing +24% on 2023. In fact, in 2023 the Chinese group had reportedly sold around 36,000 buses (700 of those in Europe).
Revenue? RMB 37.218 billion (around 4.7 billion euros) with a 37.63% year-on-year growth.
Yutong has released its 2024 annual report, reporting, according to Chinese trade media Chinabuses.org, that the group “met its pre-set revenue target for the year, generated RMB 7.211 billion in net operating cash flow, maintained robust operational cash flow, and continued to lead the industry across core indicators”.

As reported on Chinabuses, in 2024 “China’s bus industry demonstrated clear signs of recovery. By the end of the reporting period, Yutong Bus remained the industry leader, ranking first in the production and sales of large and medium-sized buses”.
According to the China Bus Statistics Information Network, Yutong Bus exported a cumulative 14,000 units in 2024, up 37.73%. “By the end of the reporting period, the company had exported over 110,000 buses, with products sold in batches to more than 60 countries and regions worldwide, covering Europe, the Americas, Asia, and Africa”, leading China’s bus manufacturing industry towards global prominence”, adds the media.
Yutong stresses that the group “advanced its glocal strategy in 2024 with technology launched, including its dual-mode transmission (DMT) hybrid system at events in Mexico, Kazakhstan, and Mongolia, along with its new C-series coaches, Van 6, and a batch more stunning sustainable transportation innovations, such as DMT Hybrid H10″.
16 Yutong facilities worldwide
Some significant international orders achieved in 2024 include 214 E12 vehicles sold to Chile and 250 headed to Greece cities of Athens and Thessaloniki, also belonging to the E12 model. The Chinese group also sold 46 airport shuttles buses in Spain. According to OEM’s statements, “600 ZK6116HG buses have been delivered to Mongolia, 274 hybrid buses to Mexico, 100 trolleybuses to Kazakhstan, and 500 V6 light buses to Latin America”.
Yutong has also expanded its international network. In addition, the company opened its first new energy KD kit factory in Qatar. By 2024, 16 localized production facilities are operating across the globe.
Yutong mentioned that in March 2024 it provided aid during floods in Kazakhstan, including essential supplies and vehicle component replacements. During Brisbane’s Green Travel Week, Yutong promoted environmental awareness and received recognition from the AWCPD for supporting women and children. Yutong also launched zero-carbon forest planting in the UK with local dealer Pelican.
