A Solaris Urbino 12 Electric has been adapted to this extent: it will carry children to\u00a0classes in\u00a0Godzian\u00f3w near \u0141\u00f3d\u017a. The\u00a0purchase of\u00a0the electric school bus\u00a0was subsidised by\u00a0NFO\u015aiGW (the\u00a0National Fund for\u00a0Environmental Protection and\u00a0Water Management). Solaris will supply the\u00a0ecological school bus\u00a0to the\u00a0Municipality of\u00a0Godzian\u00f3w in\u00a0October this year, the producer points out.<\/p>\n<p>The electric school bus\u00a0procured by\u00a0the Municipality of\u00a0Godzian\u00f3w will be\u00a0<strong>the first electric vehicle constructed by\u00a0the bus\u00a0maker using a\u00a0design intended for\u00a0the transport of\u00a0children and\u00a0youths<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10228\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sustainable-bus.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Solaris_Urbino_12_electric-4.jpg\" alt=\"electric school bus poland\" width=\"1920\" height=\"1280\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.sustainable-bus.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Solaris_Urbino_12_electric-4.jpg 1920w, https:\/\/www.sustainable-bus.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Solaris_Urbino_12_electric-4-1536x1024.jpg 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1920px) 100vw, 1920px\" \/>\n<h2>The first electric school bus in Poland<\/h2>\n<p>\u201cKangaroo: A\u00a0safe and\u00a0environmentally friendly way\u00a0to school\u201d is\u00a0a project of\u00a0the NFO\u015aiGW (the\u00a0National Fund for\u00a0Environmental Protection and\u00a0Water Management) a\u00a0part of\u00a0which saw\u00a0towns in\u00a0Poland receive subsidies for\u00a0the purchase of\u00a0battery-powered school buses. Having won\u00a0the tender, Solaris secured an\u00a0order for\u00a0the construction of\u00a0an electric school bus\u00a0for Godzian\u00f3w, Solaris points out. <strong>In\u00a0October this year, the\u00a0bus propelled by\u00a0electric power will transport children to\u00a0the school in\u00a0Godzian\u00f3w<\/strong>. It\u00a0will be\u00a0the first vehicle of\u00a0this type in\u00a0Poland.<\/p>\n<p>There will be\u00a0room for\u00a0a total of\u00a0<strong>41 young passengers<\/strong> on\u00a0the school Urbino 12 electric commissioned by\u00a0the municipality. All\u00a0seats in\u00a0the bus\u00a0will feature <strong>safety belts<\/strong>. In\u00a0correspondence with the\u00a0traditional colour scheme for\u00a0school transport, the\u00a0electric school bus\u00a0will be\u00a0orange. Notice boards informing about the\u00a0transport of\u00a0children will be\u00a0placed on\u00a0the front and\u00a0rear panels of\u00a0the vehicle. What is\u00a0more, beacon lights, turning on\u00a0automatically when the\u00a0bus doors open, will be\u00a0mounted on\u00a0the bus\u00a0roof, in\u00a0the rear section.<\/p>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10229\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sustainable-bus.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/06\/Solaris_Urbino_12_electric_2-3.jpg\" alt=\"electric school bus poland\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" \/>\n<h2>240 kWh batteries for the first electric school bus by Solaris<\/h2>\n<p>The\u00a0energy storage system of\u00a0the electric school bus\u00a0will consist of\u00a0the new\u00a0generation batteries, i.e. <strong>Solaris High Energy +<\/strong>, with a\u00a0total capacity of\u00a0almost 240 kWh. This solution warrants a\u00a0drive range of\u00a0at least 200 km\u00a0in all\u00a0road and\u00a0weather conditions, according to the producer.<\/p>\n<p>An\u00a0electric axle with two\u00a0integrated motors boasting a\u00a0power of\u00a0125 kW\u00a0each will ensure a\u00a0comfortable, smooth ride that is\u00a0noise-free and\u00a0without violent vibrations. The\u00a0bus will be\u00a0<strong>charged using a\u00a0mobile charger of\u00a040 kW<\/strong>\u00a0which will form part of\u00a0the order.<\/p>\n<p>Solaris is\u00a0one of\u00a0the leading electric bus\u00a0producers in\u00a0Europe.
