Solaris will supply 29 electric buses to\u00a0Offenbach am\u00a0Main, in Germany. This is\u00a0the second biggest order from Germany for\u00a0electric buses made by\u00a0the Polish producer. The\u00a0deliveries will be\u00a0completed in\u00a0October 2021, Solaris points out.<\/p>\n
The German electric bus<\/a> market is\u00a0expanding dynamically, whereas the\u00a0battery Urbinos have run\u00a0on German streets since 2013. So\u00a0far, Solaris says it has supplied or\u00a0secured orders from German customers for\u00a0over 230 battery-electric buses<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Last week Solaris has\u00a0delivered two\u00a0Urbino 12 electric buses to\u00a0the German city of\u00a0W\u00fcrzburg<\/a>. And, besides battery-electric buses, the Polish producer has also secured a 25 hydrogen bus order from Cologne and Wuppertal<\/a>.<\/p>\n The city of\u00a0Offenbach, located in\u00a0the German state of\u00a0Hesse, ordered 20 twelve-meter Solaris Urbino 12 electric and\u00a09 eighteen-meter, articulated Solaris Urbino 18 buses. Before the\u00a0end of\u00a0this year the\u00a0local operator Offenbacher Verkehrs-Betriebe (OVB) will receive 7 Urbino electric buses ordered in\u00a02019. Once both contracts are\u00a0completed, emission-free Solaris-buses will account for\u00a0nearly half of\u00a0the OVB\u2019s fleet<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n
