Solaris delivered its\u00a0first electric bus\u00a0in Poland in\u00a02015. Today over 150 of\u00a0these zero-emission vehicles cruise the\u00a0streets of\u00a020 Polish cities<\/strong>. Another batch of over 300 vehicles are\u00a0currently in\u00a0production or\u00a0shortly before delivering. In\u00a0the coming months the\u00a0Solaris electric buses fleet in\u00a0Poland will grow to\u00a0490 vehicles in\u00a033 cities<\/strong>. And\u00a0new contracts are\u00a0being signed.<\/p>\n The sales of\u00a0electric buses in\u00a0Europe is\u00a0growing dynamically, and\u00a0Poland is\u00a0the 5th Member State of\u00a0the European Union for\u00a0the number of\u00a0electric buses in\u00a0cities<\/strong>. The\u00a0share of\u00a0Solaris e-buses in\u00a0the Polish electric fleet is dominant: they account for\u00a076% of\u00a0the whole e-bus fleet<\/strong>. Only in\u00a02019 as\u00a0much as\u00a098% of\u00a0electric bus orders in\u00a0Poland were placed with Solaris.<\/p>\n The\u00a0first electric buses in the country appeared in\u00a0the streets of\u00a0Jaworzno<\/strong>. Today the\u00a0fleet of\u00a0the public transport carrier PKM\u00a0in Jaworzno comprises 23 electric buses manufactured by\u00a0Solaris. Further 20 are\u00a0in production. The city plans to switch 80 per cent of its fleet to electricity<\/a>.<\/p>\n The\u00a0following cities have already chosen the\u00a0Solaris zero emission buses, featuring advanced batteries and\u00a0innovative safety systems and\u00a0delivered with comprehensive after sales services: Be\u0142chat\u00f3w, Bielany, Boles\u0142awiec, Chodzie\u017c, Ciechan\u00f3w, Godzian\u00f3w, Gr\u0119bosz\u00f3w, Inowroc\u0142aw, Jaworzno, Katowice, Konin, Kozienice, Krak\u00f3w, Kutno, Lublin, \u0141omianki, Malbork, Miech\u00f3w, Ostro\u0142\u0119ka, Ostr\u00f3da, Ostr\u00f3w Wielkopolski, O\u015bwi\u0119cim, Pozna\u0144, Radom, Rzesz\u00f3w, Sochaczew, Sosnowiec, Stalowa Wola, Szczecin, Szczytno, Toru\u0144, Tychy, Warszawa, W\u0142oc\u0142awek and\u00a0Wrze\u015bnia.<\/p>\n Gdynia has\u00a0been developing its\u00a0emission-free trolleybus transport network on\u00a0a big\u00a0scale for\u00a0years, and\u00a0recently welcomed super-trolleybuses to\u00a0its fleet, i.e. Solaris Trollino, featuring traction batteries of\u00a0the type mounted on\u00a0electric buses, recharged from the\u00a0overhead line.<\/p>\n In\u00a0the past months Solaris signed many significant contracts for\u00a0the delivery of\u00a0modern electric buses to\u00a0Polish cities. The\u00a0biggest orders were placed by\u00a0Lublin<\/a>, Cracow<\/a>, Pozna\u0144<\/a> and\u00a0Katowice<\/a>. All\u00a0of these cities had\u00a0used Urbino vehicles before. Thus, decisions to\u00a0purchase new\u00a0vehicles were spurred by\u00a0direct experience in\u00a0using these vehicles.<\/p>\n\n
