It means that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sustainable-bus.com\/news\/yutong-bus-zhengzhou-electric-bus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Yutong<\/a> vehicle is now\u00a0eligible to receive the 30 pence\/kilometre as it has\u00a0attained ULEB status. The Yutong TCe12 is the very first electric coach to receive such status.<\/p>\n<p>The vehicle completed the test at Millbrook Proving Ground in Bedford\u00a0last week.<\/p>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-10671\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sustainable-bus.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/TCe12-ULEB-1-scaled-e1598681717306.jpg\" alt=\"yutong ice12\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" \/>\n<h2>LowCVP and <strong>BSOG LEV incentive in\u00a0Scotland <\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>Ian Downie<\/strong>. Head of Yutong Bus UK said &#8220;Pelican are extremely proud to\u00a0be the first ever, and only, Coach recipient of the ULEB certificate.\u00a0The introduction of zero emission vehicles in Scotland will play a vital<br \/>\npart in reducing emissions from public transport. The forward thinking\u00a0support from the Scottish Government with the BSOG LEV scheme provides a\u00a0real incentive for operators to look at the benefits of zero emission\u00a0vehicles. There are over 106,000 zero emission Yutong vehicles in\u00a0operation around the world, all contributing to reducing emissions.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dan Hayes<\/strong>, Project Manager at the\u00a0Low Carbon Vehicle Partnership, commented &#8220;LowCVP have been evaluating vehicle performance\u00a0over the last two decades to support government policy with robust data\u00a0to inform funding of greener and cleaner buses. The LowCVP Bus Working\u00a0Group has been critical in developing the certification schemes for\u00a0incentives such as the \u00a348m Ultra-Low Emission Bus Scheme which funded\u00a0over 270 electric buses and infrastructure in England and Wales in 2019.\u00a0<strong>LowCVP has also supported the development of the BSOG LEV incentive in\u00a0Scotland which now offers 30 pence\/kilometre for the operation of an\u00a0&#8220;effectively zero emission bus&#8221;<\/strong>. As many bus routes in Scotland are\u00a0operated by coaches, this incentive extends to coaches which can meet\u00a0the same performance as effectively zero emission buses. The Yutong ICe12 is hopefully the first of many zero emission coaches that demonstrate\u00a0comparable performance to buses and further support the shift of the UK\u00a0vehicle parc to a net-zero operation.\u00a0Currently coaches are the only vehicle type that is not eligible for\u00a0support from government through the plug-in vehicle grant or other\u00a0capital grant schemes.
