Hitachi ABB Power Grids<\/strong> announce it is teaming up with vehicle manufacturer Ashok Leyland<\/strong> in an e-bus pilot at IIT Madras campus, in India. In the framework of the joint project, an e-bus built by Ashok Leyland\u00a0will incorporate Hitachi ABB Power Grids\u2019 innovative flash-charging technology (Grid-eMotionTM\u00a0Flash) and provide in-campus commuting for IITM\u2019s students and staff.<\/p>\n\n Hitachi ABB Power Grids in India (listed on the stock exchanges as \u2018ABB Power Products and Systems India Ltd.\u2019) has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Ashok Leyland and the Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM) for an e-mobility pilot.<\/p>\n The triumvirate will run an electric bus (e-bus) pilot to support sustainable in-campus commuting by IITM\u2019s students and staff. The e-bus, which will incorporate Hitachi ABB Power Grids\u2019 innovative flash-charging technology (Grid-eMotionTM\u00a0Flash)<\/strong>, will be provided by India\u2019s largest bus manufacturer, Ashok Leyland.
