Beyond the Ecological Industrial Vehicle of the Year 2021 won by the waste collection truck Irizar ie truck, the new generation of the 12-metre<strong> Irizar ie bus<\/strong> has earned the <strong>Bus of the Year 2021 award in Spain<\/strong>. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sustainable-bus.com\/electric-bus\/irizar-ie-bus-strasbourg-delivery\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Ten units were recently delivered in Strasbourg<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sustainable-bus.com\/news\/first-batch-of-e-buses-for-genoa-irizar-e-mobility-supply-begins\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">14 in Genoa<\/a> (the latter in 10.8m version).<\/p>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-12238 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sustainable-bus.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/01\/maxresdefault-17-e1610716224153.jpg\" alt=\"Spanish Bus of the Year award to Irizar ie bus\" width=\"1116\" height=\"630\" \/>\n<h2>Spanish Bus of the Year award to Irizar ie bus<\/h2>\n<p>This is the third time that the Grupo Editec (the publisher of the magazines Viajeros and Transporte) and the jury, representing urban transport operators, have awarded this prize to Irizar e-mobility vehicles.\u00a0 In 2015, i2e, as it was known at that time, obtained this recognition and three years later, in 2018, the Irizar ie tram won the award.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo start the year by winning these two awards fills us with pride and satisfaction\u201d, says <strong>Imanol Rego<\/strong>, General Manager of Irizar e-mobility. \u201cThis recognition is the result of the commitment we have made in recent years to technology, innovation and sustainability in all kinds of applications.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>This bus model has been operating since 2014 in different European cities such as Madrid, London, Marseille, Genoa and Luxembourg, among others. The experience and data obtained in recent years demonstrate the reliability and safety of this vehicle.<\/p>\n<p>The new Irizar ie bus can have up to five interoperable slow charging point positions using a combo 2 connector.\u00a0Slow charging the vehicle takes 3 hours.\u00a0 There is also the option of fast charging via pantograph.\u00a0The charging capacity can vary from 50 kW to 600 kW.\u00a0The new generation of the Irizar ie bus can be certified in Class 2.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Irizar e-mobility starts the year with two new awards.
