{"id":16955,"date":"2021-12-09T10:24:00","date_gmt":"2021-12-09T09:24:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sustainable-bus.com\/?p=16955"},"modified":"2021-12-09T10:24:01","modified_gmt":"2021-12-09T09:24:01","slug":"solaris-czech-republic-hydrogen-bus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sustainable-bus.com\/fuel-cell-bus\/solaris-czech-republic-hydrogen-bus\/","title":{"rendered":"Solaris to deliver its first fuel cell buses in Czech Republic"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Solaris is going to deliver the first hydrogen buses for Czech Republic. 20 vehicles (in the framework agreement) have been ordered by the carrier Dopravn\u00ed podnik m\u011bsta \u00dast\u00ed nad\u00a0Labem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bus\u00a0will be\u00a0equipped with two\u00a0125 kW\u00a0electric motors each, ultra-modern packs of\u00a070 kW\u00a0fuel cells and\u00a0five composite tanks for\u00a0hydrogen storage with a\u00a0total capacity of\u00a01560 l. Thanks to\u00a0the technology applied in\u00a0them, they will be\u00a0capable of\u00a0covering at\u00a0least 350 km\u00a0on a\u00a0single refill, Solaris says. They will also feature a\u00a0relatively small Solaris High Power traction battery whose role is\u00a0to support the\u00a0fuel cell in\u00a0moments of\u00a0increased demand for\u00a0electric power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Solaris hydrogen buses for Czech Republic<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The transport carrier in\u00a0the city of\u00a0\u00dast\u00ed nad\u00a0Labem and\u00a0Solaris Bus\u00a0&amp; Coach have concluded a\u00a0framework agreement for\u00a0the purchase of\u00a0zero-emission Urbino 12 hydrogen buses. It\u00a0covers a\u00a0period of\u00a08 years and\u00a0during this time the\u00a0carrier may\u00a0order up\u00a0to 20 hydrogen buses. Once the\u00a0vehicles have been ordered, they are\u00a0to be\u00a0delivered within 420 days of\u00a0the purchase contract being signed. This is\u00a0<strong>the first contract for\u00a0hydrogen buses in\u00a0the Czech Republic<\/strong>, however, it\u00a0is not\u00a0the first collaboration between the\u00a0bus maker and\u00a0the city of\u00a0\u00dast\u00ed nad\u00a0Labem. Currently, 44 Solaris buses with different types of\u00a0propulsion systems are\u00a0deployed there in\u00a0public transport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to\u00a0enhance passengers\u2019 safety, the\u00a0vehicles will boast a\u00a0tyre pressure and\u00a0temperature monitoring system. Moreover, the\u00a0Urbino 12 hydrogen buses destined for\u00a0the city of\u00a0\u00dast\u00ed nad\u00a0Labem will feature a\u00a0passenger counting system, a\u00a0system for\u00a0visually impaired passengers, as\u00a0well as\u00a0USB charging sockets for\u00a0each row\u00a0of seats. They will also be\u00a0equipped with air\u00a0conditioning that uses a\u00a0CO<sub>2<\/sub>\u00a0heat pump.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOver the\u00a0years, we\u00a0have delivered over 1200 vehicles with different drives, i. e. diesel, CNG\u00a0vehicles and\u00a0trolleybuses, to\u00a0the Czech Republic. The\u00a0latest contract for\u00a0the delivery of\u00a0up to\u00a020 hydrogen buses is\u00a0absolutely groundbreaking. I\u00a0would like to\u00a0congratulate the\u00a0carrier, Dopravn\u00ed podnik m\u011bsta \u00dast\u00ed nad\u00a0Labem, on\u00a0this prestigious investment.
