Such value means an <strong>increase of 10.01% year-on-year<\/strong>, &#8220;with a production-sales ratio of 101.24%&#8221;, reads the article. &#8220;Light bus sales decreased slightly, while the sales of the other two major types of buses showed double-digit growth&#8221;. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What about zero emission buses? 43,000 units were sold in the first half of the year considering domestic sales: it means that 24% of bus and coach sales performed in China are covered by new energy vehicles (+38.57% year-on-year).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The total size of the Chinese new energy bus market <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sustainable-bus.com\/electric-bus\/china-electric-bus-truck-market-2023-geely\/\">was showed to be around\u00a0160,000 units in 2023<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">241,700 Buses were Sold from January to June,202411 July 2024<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>From January to June, as mentioned above the cumulative sales of buses were 241,700 units: 31,700 large buses (+36.79%), 18,900 medium-sized buses (+32.89%), 191,100 light buses (+4.81%). Chinabuses notes that &#8220;The production-sales ratios for large, medium-sized, and light buses were 94.46%, 99.57%, and 102.63%, respectively&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Domestic sales of buses were 177,400 units in the first half of 2024, &#8220;an increase of 5.25% year-on-year, with a growth rate lower than the overall bus market by 4.76 percentage points. Among them, 15,200 large buses were sold domestically, up 29.36% year-on-year; 13,900 medium-sized buses were sold domestically, up 21.36% year-on-year; and 148,300 light buses were sold domestically, up 2.03% year-on-year&#8221;.
