In 2023 the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sustainable-bus.com\/news\/france-bus-coach-market-2023-growth\/\">market in France had recored a 5% growth<\/a>, being confirmed as the largest bus and coach market in the continent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2024\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sustainable-bus.com\/news\/italy-bus-market-2024\/\">Italian market broke all records with nearly 5,000 buses over 8 ton registered<\/a>\u00a0(the highest figure reached before 2024 was the 4,400 units registered in\u2026 2001). At the same time, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sustainable-bus.com\/news\/german-bus-market-2024\/\">German market showed a stagnation, with volumes decreasing -2%<\/a>.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sustainable-bus.com\/electric-bus\/bus-market-sweden-2024\/\">Swedish bus market experienced a\u00a030% drop in new registrations<\/a><strong>.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td>France<\/td><td>5,807 (+2% on 2023)<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Germany<\/td><td>5,382* (-2%)<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Italy<\/td><td>4,920** (+20%)<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">* buses and coaches over 3.5 ton<br>** only buses and coaches over 8 ton<br><em><strong>Elaboration Sustainable Bus<\/strong><\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">French market 2024: Iveco takes 51% share<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Iveco Bus (including Heuliez-branded vehicles) is stil at the helm of the top brands with 2,993 vehicles registered. It means a <strong>51.5% market share<\/strong>. As usual, Daimler Buses follows with 1,166 units and a market share of 20.07%. 2024 has been a good year for Irizar, that grew +176% up at 130 units delivered (half of those are BEV buses).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"804\" height=\"551\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sustainable-bus.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/Screenshot-2025-01-14-alle-15.45.15.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-34561\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Traton (<strong>MAN<\/strong>, <strong>Scania<\/strong> including vehicles from Chinese bodybuilder Higer Fencer and Touring) is down significantly with 590 registrations (or 10.16% market share). France&#8217;s <strong>Bluebus<\/strong> took advantage of the resumption of production of the 12-metre Bluebus and its new 6-metre model to end the year with 113 units (79 standard and 34 6-metre Bluebuses)&#8221;, TRM24 reports. Noteworthy is the growth achieved by <strong>Temsa<\/strong>: +37%, up to 266 units registered (mainly in the school bus segment). Otokar? 196 units and a growth of 14.6%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Small figures were achieved by Chinese brands such as <strong>Yutong and BYD<\/strong> with 19 and 16 units respectively.
