Solaris will perform another delivery of electric buses<\/a> in Warsaw. This time, 50 articulated Urbino 18 Electric<\/strong> are included in the contract. To\u00a0date, the\u00a0manufacturer has\u00a0been the\u00a0supplier of\u00a0almost 1,350 buses to\u00a0MZA Warsaw, including 163 electric vehicles (130 vehicles were ordered in 2019<\/a> and delivered within 2019 and 2020<\/a>, two batches of 12 units each were commissioned in December 2023<\/a> and March 2024<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Solaris states that “Once all\u00a0orders are\u00a0fulfilled, the\u00a0operator\u2019s electric fleet will consist of\u00a0an impressive 224 Solaris electric buses<\/strong>“.<\/p>\n\n\n\n According to its figures, Solaris has more than 5,500 zero-emission vehicles \u2013 comprising battery-electric buses, hydrogen buses, and\u00a0trolleybuses \u2013 delivered to\u00a025 countries to\u00a0date.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Warsaw has\u00a0one of\u00a0the largest electric bus\u00a0fleets in\u00a0Europe, with the\u00a0vast majority consisting of\u00a0Solaris vehicles. The\u00a0city\u2019s operator, MZA\u00a0(Miejskie Zak\u0142ady Autobusowe), has\u00a0decided to\u00a0further expand its\u00a0zero-emission fleet. Representatives of\u00a0Solaris Bus\u00a0& Coach and\u00a0MZA signed an\u00a0agreement for\u00a0the delivery of\u00a050 additional electric buses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Each bus\u00a0ordered will be\u00a0equipped with an\u00a0electric motor supported by\u00a0the latest generation of\u00a0Solaris High Energy batteries. Charging will take place at\u00a0the depot using a\u00a0standard plug-in connection<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The models destined for\u00a0Warsaw will feature a\u00a0modular drive system<\/strong>. In\u00a0this design, the\u00a0drive components are\u00a0mounted on\u00a0the roof of\u00a0the vehicle, allowing for\u00a0maximum utilization of\u00a0passenger space.
