{"id":35177,"date":"2025-03-03T17:30:26","date_gmt":"2025-03-03T16:30:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.sustainable-bus.com\/?p=35177"},"modified":"2025-03-03T17:30:28","modified_gmt":"2025-03-03T16:30:28","slug":"pescara-yutong-first-electric-buses","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.sustainable-bus.com\/electric-bus\/pescara-yutong-first-electric-buses\/","title":{"rendered":"Yutong in Pescara, Italy: the debut of zero emission buses in TUA&#8217;s fleet"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Electric buses travelling on the former railway line. <strong>TUA<\/strong>, the regional carrier operating in Pescara and Abruzzo, has presented the<strong> first three electric buses<\/strong> that will be used to connect Pescara and the coastal city of Montesilvano: these are<strong> 11-metre and 12-metre e-buses by Yutong<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Electric buses debut in Pescara<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, over the next three months the battery-powered fleet for the aforementioned route will be enriched by another two 18-metre articulated buses from the Chinese manufacturer, which was also awarded the <strong>supply of three 7-metre-long plug-in minibuses<\/strong> (intended for the adduction lines, with the aim of facilitating passenger interchange along the north-south axis and vice versa) in relation to the tender issued at the end of November 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1616\" height=\"1080\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sustainable-bus.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/WhatsApp-Image-2025-03-03-at-13.39.32-1.jpeg\" alt=\"tua abruzzo yutong electric buses\" class=\"wp-image-35178\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.sustainable-bus.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/WhatsApp-Image-2025-03-03-at-13.39.32-1.jpeg 1616w, https:\/\/www.sustainable-bus.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/WhatsApp-Image-2025-03-03-at-13.39.32-1-1536x1027.jpeg 1536w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1616px) 100vw, 1616px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Another two 12-metre buses (a <strong>Mercedes-Benz and an Alfabus<\/strong>) were also acquired through the same tender, bringing to 19 the total number of electric vehicles in service in the metropolitan area of Pescara.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Compared to the 80 buses currently in circulation, TUA operations will be reorganised to <strong>operate 19 electric vehicles and 6 trolleybuses<\/strong> (once the trolleybus system is up and running).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1454\" height=\"972\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sustainable-bus.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/03\/WhatsApp-Image-2025-03-03-at-13.49.10.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-35180\"\/><\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Electric buses travelling on the former railway line.
