According to recent data <a href=\"https:\/\/m.chinabuses.org\/analyst\/13689.html\">reported by Chinabuses<\/a>, a total of <strong>8,808 large, medium, and light buses were exported from January to February<\/strong>. Golden Dragon, King Long and Zhongtong held the top positions. The report doesn&#8217;t provide details about the number of zero emission buses exported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the whole 2024 the overall <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sustainable-bus.com\/news\/china-bus-export-2024-figures-byd-yutong-higer\/\">volume of buses exported from China reached around 60,000 units<\/a>, a quarter of those being zero emission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">China export of buses: light buses booming<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In that period, China exported 4,318 large buses, a slight increase of 0.33% year-on-year; 1,495 medium buses, up 22.74% year-on-year; and <strong>2,995 light buses, marking a significant increase of 78.06% year-on-year.<\/strong> Light buses showed the most impressive growth, while large buses experienced only marginal growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Chinabuses notes that &#8220;From January to February 2025, the cumulative export volume of city buses was 2,195 units, down 32.19% year-on-year. Specifically, the export volume of large city buses was 1,724 units, down 33.13% year-on-year; medium city buses was 420 units, down 24.19% year-on-year; and light city buses was 51 units, down 51.43% year-on-year&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Golden Dragon<\/strong> emerged as the top exporter in the first two months of 2025, with 2,074 units shipped\u2014an impressive +235.06% year-on-year increase. <strong>King Long<\/strong> followed with 1,278 units, reflecting 41.84% growth, while <strong>Zhongtong<\/strong> secured third place with 968 units. Notably, Higer and Yutong rounded out the top five, with export volumes of 803 and 739 units, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The top ten exporters also included BYD, JMC Jingma, Foton AUV, Ankai Bus, and AsiaStar Bus. Ankai Bus saw a surge of 198.81%, BYD increased by 79.08%, and Foton AUV grew by 46.99%.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Among city bus exporters, BYD retained its leading position, followed by Foton AUV, Zhongtong Bus, Yutong Bus, and Higer.
