More than 40 ebuses are involved in the order: they&#8217;ll be deployed by Israeli transport companies in Tel Aviv, Haifa and, for the first time, in Jerusalem. The system, fully electric, is mounted on the roof.<\/p>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-4982 size-full\" title=\"Eberspaecher\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sustainable-bus.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/03\/Schermata-2019-03-05-alle-11.04.54.png\" alt=\"Eberspaecher\" width=\"1003\" height=\"561\" \/>\n<h2>An air conditioning system developed for electrified buses<\/h2>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"news-text-wrap\">\n<p>The electrically driven air-conditioning solution Eberspaecher \u00a0AC 136 AE HP has been specially tailored to the requirements of hybrid and electric buses. Thanks to its reversible refrigerant circuit, it combines cooling and heating functions in a single device. In addition, the system scores with one hundred percent fresh air supply, Eberspaecher explains in a press release. \u201cOur high-performance electric air-conditioning systems contribute to a high level of passenger comfort and <strong>clean mobility in the public transport system<\/strong>,\u201d explains Oliver Wels, General Manager Eberspaecher Climate Control Systems Bus &amp; Coach. Bus manufacturers additionally benefit from diagnostics-capable components, a brushless fan and the system\u2019s modular design, which enables quick and easy installation.<\/p>\n<h2>A cooperation with strong manufacturers<\/h2>\n<p>\u201cChinese manufacturers have an enormous share in the global electric bus market,\u201d says Oliver Wels when explaining the importance of the orders for Eberspaecher. \u201cTherefore, <strong>cooperation with BYD and Golden Dragon<\/strong> is a key step for us in further expanding our global presence in this market.\u201d The majority of the more than 40 electric buses are operated by public transport companies in Israel\u2019s major cities of Tel Aviv and Haifa. In future, seven BYD vehicles will also be the first all-electric buses to be used in Jerusalem\u2019s public transport system.\u00a0Haifa ordered in 2017 a batch of 17 BYD electric buses, to be deployed in the northern area of the city.
