The agreement, Busworld points out, will <strong>strengthen Busworld\u2019s position in India<\/strong> by lifting the steadily growing exhibition to a higher level.<\/p>\n<p>Busworld India 2020, the 9th edition in the series, will be as usual organized in Bengaluru (27-29 August 2020). Now, spotlight are on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sustainable-bus.com\/event\/busworld-europe-2019\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">European edition scheduled for 18-23 October 2019<\/a>, for the first time in Brussels.<\/p>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-large wp-image-6283\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sustainable-bus.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/Busworld_6-1024x580.jpg\" alt=\"busworld india\" width=\"1024\" height=\"580\" \/>\n<h2>Busworld India with Messe Frankfurt<\/h2>\n<p>Busworld welcomes Messe Frankfurt as the ideal partner for Busworld to uplift its Indian exhibition even further, the Belgian society says in a press release. For Messe Frankfurt it is a <strong>portfolio development and expansion<\/strong> of their expertise in defined industry sectors, perfectly in line with its corporate strategy. With 50 trade fairs, conferences and other events worldwide, Messe Frankfurt showcases the current state of the art in the automotive aftermarket, transport and logistics sectors \u2013 and where the future of mobility is headed.<\/p>\n<h2>Busworld across the continents<\/h2>\n<p>Starting its journey in 1971 in Kortrijk \u2013 moving to Brussels in 2019 \u2013, Busworld has gone worldwide with several exhibitions <strong>covering all continents in Turkey, India, Russia, Kazakhstan, China, Indonesia and Colombia<\/strong>. With almost 50 years of experience, it is today the oldest, biggest and most famous bus and coach exhibition. <strong>In India, Busworld made its debut in 2005<\/strong> and with its consistent growth pace, has carved a niche as the most recognized international exhibition exclusively for the bus and coach industry.<\/p>\n<p>The growing opportunities in the country have also led to a sharp growth for the Busworld fair that has doubled the number of visitors in India and grown in space. Its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sustainable-bus.com\/news\/busworld-india-2018\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">latest edition in 2018<\/a> played host to over 115 exhibitors from 11 countries and 8,000 visitors. Under the umbrella of Messe Frankfurt\u2019s mobility events, the first Busworld India will take place in Bengaluru from the 27 \u2013 29 August 2020.<\/p>\n<h2>India and bus electrification. Lot of room for adoption<\/h2>\n<p>India is on an <strong>ambitious journey to electrify 30% of its vehicle fleets by 2030<\/strong> as proposed by government think tank NITI Aayog. The Indian government is exploring new ways to switch to electric vehicles with a number of initiatives being implemented. Testing of operational feasibility of electric buses, cars, two-wheelers, rickshaws, taxis and goods vehicles, are already making in-roads.<\/p>\n<p>Buses are one of the leading segments driving this change, with the most aggressive efforts from stakeholders seen in terms of successful electrification, since the first electric bus trial started in Bangalore in 2014. The central government in India is working with state transport departments for the deployment of 5,000\u00a0electric buses.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abWith over 70,000 buses above 6 tonne sold in 2017, the Indian bus market represents a significant portion of the 430,000 buses above 6 tonne sold globally. If only a small percentage of these were to be electric, it could easily become the second largest market behind China\u00bb <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sustainable-bus.com\/news\/indian-electric-bus-market-whats-going-on\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">highlighted research company Interact Analysis in 2018<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>The opportunities of Indian market<\/h2>\n<p>Mr Vincent Dewaele, International Business Development Manager shared: \u201c<em>With some of the world\u2019s leading mobility shows, Messe Frankfurt demonstrates the right model to be a preferred partner for us in India.
