The award organization announced recently\u00a0that the Lithuanian vehicle project by Lithuanian company Vejo projektai has been honored with a prize.<\/p>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-8926\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sustainable-bus.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/dancer-bus.png\" alt=\"dancer bus\" width=\"1000\" height=\"653\" \/>\n<h2>Two Dancer buses on <strong>Klaip\u0117dos streets<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>The Lithuanian municipality-owned operator\u00a0<strong>Klaip\u0117dos autobus\u0173 parkas<\/strong> recently completed the acquisition procedures of two units. The first generation of Dancer bus received\u00a0EU-wide certificate for passenger transportation in 2019, the producer points out<strong>.<\/strong>\u00a0The launch of Dancer\u00a0follows a test of composite materials applied to an old Skoda trolleybus, that has been converted to fully electric battery-based operation in Dancer\u2019s labs. After this, the concept electric bus was created through the use of composite materials, also derived <strong>from recycled PET bottle plastic<\/strong>. The vehicle, 12 meters long, is equipped with in-wheel motors (the<strong> ZF AxTrax delivering a total of 250 kW<\/strong>).<\/p>\n<p>The bus is fully equipped with comfort measures such as a modern AC system, high-speed wireless internet, USB sockets and an extendible ramp for wheelchair access.
